DIISOPROPYL ETHER TU 38.402-62-133-92 grade 2 with amendments No. 1 -3

-DIPE

Description

Description: Diisopropyl ether is an aliphatic ether, (CH3)2-CHO-CH-(CH3)2; colorless liquid with a specific ethereal odor; boiling point=68.5 °C, density 0.7244 g/cm3 (20 °C), fire point=22.5 °C, explosive limits in air 1.1-4.5% by volume (100 °C). It mixes with organic solvents and forms an azeotropic mixture with water.

The impact on humans: diisopropyl ether belongs to hazard class 4 (low-hazard substances).

Product packaging: Products are shipped by rail (in tanks and platform containers) and by road.

Application: Diisopropyl ether acts as a solvent for vegetable and mineral oils, a solvent for animal fats, and a solvent for natural and synthetic resins. It is widespread for dewaxing lubricating oils and in extraction – for example, for removing uranium from its fission products, separating acetic acid from aqueous solutions, as a component of formulations for removing old paint and varnish coatings, and also as a component of motor fuel to increase its octane number.

The guaranteed shelf life is 4 months from the date of manufacture.
